In This New Season of Thanksgiving, the EDC Thanks its Generous Investor-partners
As we approach the season of thanksgiving and the Thanksgiving Day holiday, I would like to share that the team and I here at the Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Council are grateful for so many things — both personal and professional. On the professional side, I would be remiss if didn’t send a huge “Thank you!” to a very special group — the EDC’s 17 investor-partners.
These investors were part of the deep and wide body of EDC support that I discussed in last month’s column. Their representatives literally have a seat at the table of economic development efforts for the greater Lake Wales community. They are key players in the team that make things happen for local industry building, job creation, and commerce expansion.
Our generous and very involved Lake Wales EDC investor-partners are:
• Bunting, Tripp & Ingley CPAs
• CenterState Bank, Lake Wales office
• Chemical Containers, Inc.
• Citizens Bank & Trust, Lake Wales office
• City of Lake Wales
• Duke Energy
• Florida’s Natural Growers
• GrowHealthy Holdings, LLC
• Hunt Bros., Inc.
• Kegel, LLC
• Lake Wales Charter Schools
• Lake Wales Medical Center
• Pat Cain Wealth Solutions/Raymond James
• Peterson & Myers, PA
• Polk County Government
• Polk State College
I mentioned that our investors number 17. That’s not a limit; there’s no cap on the number of organizations that can be involved with the EDC as investors and part of challenging economic development process, the rewarding and enriching experience, and all of its many successes. If you would like to be a part of the EDC investor team, just give me a call at 863-676-3445.
The current investor team is well represented in the areas of local government, industry, finance, health care, and education. There’s room at the table for more — including companies involved in general construction and home building.
Again, thank you so very much to each of our Lake Wales EDC investor-partners, and to everyone within reach of this column, have a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful start to the holiday season.
