On July 11, the new series Discovery Days Great Escapes begins with “Holes” by Louis Sacchar from 10 a.m. to noon. Children ages 6-12 will discover nature’s joy during a literary escape into the Gardens while playing outside and making new friends. Each week will feature a new book during a playful and informal approach to reading and nature appreciation. Parents are invited to join their children as they participate in each program. Reservations are required. The fee is $10 per class or $55 for all 6 classes. The series continues each Wednesday through August 15.  See attached document for weekly Books

Through August 31, kids are invited to participate in the Kids Photography Contest. Favorite photos from the Gardens need to be uploaded boktowergardens.org/contest. Each week’s winner will be entered into the People’s Choice Awards to win an 8x10 canvas print of their winning photograph. Photos must have been taken at the Gardens in the last 6 months and must be 1MB or larger.
