Lake Wales is unique in its wide variety of cultural amenities, including the Lake Wales Arts Center, the Lake Wales Little Theatre, the Historic Downtown area, the Depot Museum and Bok Tower Gardens. Events such as the Lake Wales Art Show, Sunset & Symphony, Concert Under the Stars, the Mardi Gras Celebration, the Christmas parade, Christmas at Pinewood, the Pioneer Days Celebration, and numerous monthly events, enhance the cultural atmosphere.

School choruses, bands, arts and theater programs increase student awareness and participation in cultural pursuits. Lake Wales students who choose to attend McLaughlin Middle School are also fortunate to participate in the many enrichment programs available through the school's Fine Arts Academy.
