Hometown Friday in Lake Wales
Good Day Tampa
Bay
took the show on the road to Lake Wales for another
Hometown Friday
on February 22, 2008. See a list of the places
and restaurants they featured in the area.
(While all of the interviews featured
during the live broadcast are not available on
the MyFox Tampa Bay Web site, the
Lake Wales Area Chamber of Commerce has received
permission to include the following convenient
links to many Hometown Friday video
highlights, which will be archived on the MyFox
Tampa Bay Web site and accessible for two years.)
Exploring the History of Lake Wales
Take a trip
to Lake Wales and you'll quickly learn there's
more to this Polk County town than just Bok
Sanctuary. As our Russell Rhodes found out, the
history of Lake Wales includes many stories,
including those you'll hear about their
railroads.

Orange You Glad You Went to Lake Wales?
Dave
Osterberg wouldn't pass up a gig like this. He
got the chance to tour Florida's Natural Grove
House and get a look at how the delicious juice
makes its way into your refrigerator. Did we
mention there were samples?

Charley's World: Florida Skydiving Center
It's
Hometown Friday in Lake Wales, so we thought it
was the perfect opportunity to send Charley's
World flying high. Charley checked out Florida
Skydiving Center-- but there's only one catch.
He's not taking his feet off the ground for this
one. (Fox13

Going Back to Bok
We've
been
there
before,
but
there's
nothing
like
going
back to
the
Historic
Bok
Sanctuary.
We sent
Russell
Rhodes
to
explore
the
amazing
tower
and all
it's
history.
